Three baseball gloves, the oldest one made in the USA, but not anymore. The glove on the left is made by the Franklin Company in the ROC (Taiwan). The glove on the right, like the one in the middle, was made by the Wilson Sporting Goods Company, but unlike its predecessor, it was made in the ROK (South Korea). These gloves tell a story of lost manufacturing jobs in the U.S. to overseas competition. American companies that manufactured sporting goods - gloves, balls, and even bats - moved their operations or outsourced to overseas where laborers subsist on monthly pay equivalent to what used to be a day's wages in the U.S.
